Fresh off the release of the deluxe edition of their debut album, Australian electronic/pop duo dekleyn continue to make their presence known in 2021 with the release of ‘Don’t Leave This Now’, a collaboration with up and coming Indonesian producer Slowtide that is sure to lead you to a state of relaxation with its calming approach.

‘Don’t Leave This Now’ combines the two artists’ separate realms with absolute ease, with Slowtide’s atmospheric production setting the dreamy foundations for dekleyn’s breezy melodies to float atop of with hints of the soothing guitars poking their way through the mix. With a laid-back approach to the composition whilst providing subtle rises in intensity, ‘Don’t Leave This Now’ takes you on a profound sonic journey perfect for unwinding and relaxation.

“Don’t Leave This Now began when Slowtide approached us via social media with some instrumental demo ideas. The idea for DLTN stuck out and we began working on vocals and adding additional production to the demo. The smooth synth ideas with a strong beat worked as a beautiful merge between both our styles and allowed an easy bridge between the two genres.” – dekleyn

“Originally, I started this project a year ago, lost interest then left it for a while. I messed around with a cheap synth I just bought and discovered a beautiful pad sound that I thought would really fit in the song. Everything else just went along with that sound.” – Slowtide

This follows on from the release of dekleyn’s debut self-titled album receiving several Spotify playlist additions including ‘New Music Friday AU/NZ’, ‘soda’ and ‘Indie Arrivals’, as well as Slowtide releasing the first glimpse of his forthcoming debut EP in ‘For You’.
