Next up in our ON STAGE series is Australian duo Close Counters who have teamed up with Baked for a very awesome live performance of their latest single ‘SPEAK IN TRUTH’, featuring their good friend Allysha Joy (from Melbourne crew 30/70) on vocals.
Close Counters have an innate passion for blending neo-soul elements with disco, house, hip-hop and jazz influences, while ultimately creating these diverse soundscapes that are rich with colourful instrumentation and luxurious vocal stimuli.

“SPEAK IN TRUTH was filmed live for Baked at the tail end of last year, in one of the first weeks of freedom following Melbourne’s Mammoth lockdown. We had planned to collaborate with the Baked team since the start of the year, and as with many other aspects of life, it was pushed back on a regular basis until we were allowed to get together as a group. This was recorded before gigs had returned, so it was a super exciting time to load in to a venue and set up to perform, albeit the one song!” – Close Counters
