Daniel Allan returns to our hearts this week with a futuristic dive into the electronic/pop realm through his new single ‘Stay The Night’, featuring Lexi Shanley on vocals, that takes on that all too familiar journey of making the first move on that special someone and all the emotions that come with it.

Drawing comparisons to Flume with his cinematic and at times industrial-themed soundscape, ‘Stay The Night’ provides plenty of heat with those wobbly and quirky synths providing plenty of electricity in the mix. Despite this, there is plenty of room created within Allan’s impressive instrumentation base for Shanley’s effortlessly-smooth vocals to drive the emotional context within the lyrics.

“Stay The Night is about making the first move after meeting someone special at a party. The song touches on the impatience you feel waiting for a moment that seems long overdue… even if you haven’t even introduced yourself yet. As a wallflower at most parties, I’ve seen so many encounters end because neither person wants to take that leap. When the energy is right; a little confidence can go a long way” – Daniel Allan
