With a radio silence since the release of ‘Backwards Love’ with TRACE late last year, Taska Black returns for the first time in 2020 with the release of his new single ‘Comedown’ that depicts the highs and lows that come with the life of a musician.

‘Comedown’ brings forth a murky soundscape filled with deepened beats, brooding bass and swirling pads that are further accentuated by the insertions of echoed guitars that float majestically above the mix. Black brilliantly creates enough room within the soundscape that allows the gripping vocals the space they need to command significant presence and drive the very relatable narrative home.

“When I went into the studio with Solly, who co-wrote Backwards Love, and Cal we started chatting about our lives. I had just been back from 2-3 months being on the road on and off and was back in the US to write new music. I spent a lot of time alone in hotel rooms, eating dinner by myself, sitting on the plane or airports by myself. Sometimes I forgot why I was doing all of this, if it was worth giving up my family and friends.” – Taska Black
