Sampa The Great - 'OMG'

In the lead up to her highly anticipated debut album ‘The Return’ coming out in September, Sampa The Great has brought through a fast paced glimpse of what’s to come in her new single ‘OMG’ that comes alongside a energetic music video that pays tribute to her roots.

‘OMG’ comes through with minimal instrumentation, but that doesn’t stop Sampa The Great from bringing the intensity through her endearing melodies that flow quite swiftly. Throwing in the tribal styled drums and obscure synths dashing in and out, ‘OMG’ provides significant energy and attitude in its quick duration that leaves listeners wanting more.

As well as this, the release comes with a lively music video directed by Kwes Darko. Shot across South Africa and Botswana, the accompanying visuals bring forth a real sense of community and passion through the passages of choreographed dancing that adds to the homage paid in the audio.
