With the haunting follow up release to his debut EP in ‘Hope’ magnetising us already this year, Adelaide producer Yomaez continues to impress on all fronts rapidly and delivers yet again on his brand new single ‘Butterflies’ – and we’ve got your first taste of it here.
Depicting quite a personal and emotive tale in the lyrics, ‘Butterflies’ provides quite a warm sound palate full of atmospheric pads elevating the mix to incredible heights, as well as the trap influenced beats blending perfectly with Yomaez‘s electrifying vocals that intensify the piece immensely.
“Butterflies tells the story of a relationship suffering from domestic abuse and the internal conflict she battles within herself. This issue is something I wanted to write about, not only because of how prevalent the problem is, but how increasingly familiar it’s become personally. This song seeks to be part of the conversation, to recognise this issue very much exists and for change to happen we need to create platforms for these conversations to start.” – Yomaez
