Melbourne producer/singer Memphis LK (formally of electronic duo SAATSUMA) has launched her new project in emphatic style with the release of her debut single ‘Speak Honestly’, a haunting and darkened offering that is further signified with the mind-bending music video.
Taking influence from the dark electronic and club worlds, ‘Speak Honestly’ builds from obscurity with the hypnotising synths that resonates throughout the mix. With significant room to work with, Memphis LK manipulates the production beautifully to create space for her trademark eerie vocal stylings.
Directed by LK’s sister Maddy Kelly, the accompanying music video builds on the scariness created in the audio with stirring choreographed dancing and darkened visuals that results in a well put together representation of what is a truly captivating debut.
