RKCB – ‘Alone with You, Pt. 2’

Los Angeles soulful duo RKCB break out of the silence that has been the case for much of this year with the release of ‘Alone with You, Pt.2’, the follow up track to ‘Alone, with You’ from last year that is drenched in atmospheric RNB influence that rounds out the emotional tale.

‘Alone with You, Pt.2’ injects this atmosphere soundscape immediately with various elements and pads lingering in the background before the carefree nature of the vocals enter the arena to captivate our attentions. Combining with the rising synths that pierce in and out of the mix, the track truly takes its form with the emphatic percussion that reverberates through the chorus, featuring echoed vocals and infectiously catchy melodies that achieves a significant depth throughout.

The accompanying music video beautifully encapsulates the cinematic themes which are central to the overall piece. With colourful displays of ambiance and scenic imagery being displayed, both members of RKCB are shown in various backdrops to carry the emotional context of the track, before the video takes off in the latter parts of the piece with strobe lighting matching the intensified choreographed dancer.
