iiiConic - 'Plans'

‘Plans’ is the first single of the year from rising, Aussie Hip-Hop talent, iiiConic.

Coming off of the back of a string of Festival appearances (including Sprung Fest & Scenario Fest) & his first headline show, fans were eager to hear what the young rapper/producer had in store next. Thankfully ‘Plans’ lives up to the hype. The wavy 808 sub-bass, arpeggiated backing melody & song structure that were present in earlier releases are all still there, however, this time the energy is on another level.

When asked about the track, iiiConic said: “This song has given me the platform to show the world my potential”.

The most noticeable thing about the track is the fact that the production has a lot of depth to it, which meant that it took a few listens before every little nuance & aspect became present. It’s really enjoyable to see, especially in the Aussie Hip-Hop scene, which has at times been subject to minimalistic & basic production.

At only 19 years of age, it’s seriously impressive to see him standing strong amongst other peers in the scene such as Manu Crooks and B Wise.
