Swedish electronic music giants Galantis are back with a new intergalactic summer anthem ‘Spaceship’, featuring singer-songwriter Uffie. The single is a hedonistic mix of classic, electro-house with slinky synths and warped, child-like vocals which when combined, creates a sound which has become almost signature to the duo.
What is interesting though, is the first time collaboration with Uffie, the vocalist behind recent tracks by Charlie XCX and Justice. The vocal production, whilst signature to Gallants, has to be up there with one of the most adventurous & unique efforts released this year by a major artist.
Uffie said of the single: “Spaceships and summer are like milk and cookies… it’s just so right! I am thrilled to collaborate with the very talented Galantis duo on a track I love so much. It leaves me pining for the dance floor every time.”
‘Spaceship’ is the first of a string of new tracks Galantis will be releasing this year, it’s going to be really exciting to see what else the pair have in store for us this year. This dance floor smash is a sure bet to help lift your day.
