I was lucky enough to catch Los Angeles artist NoMBe at SXSW recently, and boy oh boy is he fun live – he’s a bit easy on the eyes too!

NoMBe has just released his debut album ‘They Might’ve Even Loved Me’, a very generous 18-track collection of his smooth electro-funk/soul sounds that take us on an exploration through all of the relationships that shaped his life. From ex’s to high school crushes, true loves, his mother, his god-mother, and soul legend Chaka Khan.

“It’s hard to believe this day is finally here. I have worked on this project for over 4 years and can’t even explain how much it took to get it to the finish line. The countless hours of sleepless nights, the many many revisions, a financial rollercoaster that is my bank account, a shelved EP, a failed tour, debt… I was close to giving up, but now here we fucking are. My debut album “They Might’ve Even Loved Me” is OUT TODAY!!!!!!

But before I burst into tears of joy, I want to dedicate these songs to my family and all the women in my life. Past, present and future. To those who broke my heart and those who’ve helped piece it back together. I love you. To the queens whose hearts I may have cracked along the way, I am deeply sorry, I’m not perfect, but may these songs give you nothing but joy. ❤️

Special thanks to all of you for following this journey the past year. I sincerely hope this music will spark many more conversations around equality, freedom, art and love.

To blood, sweat and tears.” – NoMBe
