Anoraak’s new track ‘Last Call’ has been delivered with a stunning cinematic number, directed by O.S.A.K.A.H. It has a very similar feel to the movie ‘Drive’, with long cinematic shots and well crafted scenes. The cinematography in it really creates a really intense and inspiring feel, shot across Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Paris, allowing for diverse and open pan shots of cities, paired with dim alleyways.

The story appears to be about virtual reality martial arts, controlling either simulated bodies or other people through the mind whilst sitting around a circle, with people better on the winners. Pairing this story with the music was very interesting, as the song itself is very light and very warm, yet despite the tone of the shots, the intensity of the story was a major contrast. As the story shifts to night neon signs and city lights play a controlling part the shots, which really matches the 90s synth of the song.
I really enjoyed the song and the cinematography of this music video, however the story was a bit hard to follow at times. Either way it was visually stimulating enough to keep you interested from start to finish.
