‘Sleep Well Beast’ is the seventh studio album from Brooklyn indie-rock veterans The National, which I had no idea was on the way but was so very pleased when I found it on Spotify over the weekend.
Existing National fans are going to froth over a new album no matter what, but if you’re not one of those you may be a little be harder to impress. Either way I’d suggest consuming this album in front of a warm fire or laying outside soaking up some good old Vitamin D, as Matt Berninger woos us yet again with his deep brooding voice.
