Mount Kimbie released their long-awaited new album last Friday, and boy have I been giving it a flogging.
It’s called ‘Love What Survives’ and it is every bit as good as I was hoping it would be. It’s a strong 11-track collection of electronic/experimental psych-rock tunes, with some featuring guest appearances from Micachu, Andrea Balency, King Krule and TWO with James Blake.
I reckon this will be in my Top 5 this year for sure.
‘Love What Survives’ is available everywhere now via Warp Records, and European fans can catch Mount Kimbie as they hit the road for a bunch of live shows throughout October/November.
