If you are yet to experience a live collaboration between house music and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, then your Australia Day 2018 is sorted.

One of house music legends Armand Van Helden is coming down under to join forces with the MSO for a one night only performance of the inaugural “Symphonica” concert at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

This is once in a lifetime kind of stuff! Imagine hearing a 70-piece orchestra doing bangers like ‘U Don’t Know Me’, ‘My My My’, ‘Bonkers (feat. Dizzee Rascal)’, ‘I Want Your Soul’, the legendary remix of Tori Amos’ ‘Professional Widow’ and of course Duck Sauce’s ‘Barbra Streisand’.

Last year’s successful collaboration between techno legends Jeff Mills and Derrick May has now inspired this “Symphonica”, and amazingly it will be an ongoing annual collaborative series between the MSO and some of contemporary music’s most influential figures.

Tickets are already on sale via Ticketmaster – what a way to celebrate Australia Day!
