Following on from the infectious ‘Selfish’, The Kite String Tangle continues to go from strength to strength with his latest single ‘The Prize’. Enlisting the expertise of vocalist Bridgette Amofah (of Rudimental fame), The Kite String Tangle continues to head down the path of emphatic synths that really act as a point of difference in the soundscape mixed with relatable emotive context in the lyrics.
What stands out within ‘The Prize’ is how brilliantly The Kite String Tangle’s vocals are combined with Amofah’s. Both vocals when partnered together with clever harmonies build the intensity of the track to a climatic point where a huge, almost Flume-like drop happens in the chorus.
If both ‘Selfish’ and ‘The Prize’ are anything to go by, we are in for one of the albums of the year!
