It was definitely worth the wait. The APLUS directed music video is a modern take on the classic tale of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” but very much deals with issues in today’s society.
It’s a typical Californian setting with bonfires on the beach and palm trees lining the streets as you cycle on by. But with confronting scenes of drug use, violence, gun use and racism, you can see how this reflects certain circumstances in 2017.
It’s a cinematic piece of drama that doesn’t necessarily reflect the lyrics, but finds new meaning in them. The final scenes are of course gut wrenching though.
