BACARDI’s summer party series took over World Bar in Sydney recently, delivering a fantastic night of good-times and dancing, with the help of a hand-picked selection of great local talent to perform across the venue’s multiple rooms – and they captured the entire night on film!

House of BACARDI was also a night dedicated to supporting the Australian nightlife and taking a stand against the current lockout laws, shining a light on what keeps the country’s key cultural event/party organizers motivated.

In ‘Party Talk’ pt. 2, House of BACARDI switch their focus toward Sydney as they speak with some of the city’s biggest nightlife supporters including Tyson Koh (Keep Sydney Open), Nes, Christopher Kevin Au, The Meeting Tree (Raph Lauren & Joyride), Jimmy Nice (One Day), Jade Le Flay, Arca Bay, Luen and Jono Seidler. Watch, listen & learn as they explore some of the biggest challenges facing Sydney’s club scene, discussing what can be done to re-shape the current nightlife, and what the future holds for the city that used to be known far and wide as the “Adult’s Playground”.

“We’ve always had amazing talent and passion in Sydney. There’s no shortage of DJs and promoters who want to put on great parties that enliven the city. With the lockouts however, our nightlife has received a kick in the guts and Sydney’s confidence as a whole has suffered. Instead of playing politics, the Baird government has an opportunity to work with nightlife practitioners to build a 24-hour city we can all be proud of.” – Tyson Koh of Keep Sydney Open

Part one of the ‘Party Talk’ series took place in Brisbane last month, where punters discussed the city’s strong sense of community, challenges the scene is facing, house parties being shut down, and the overall lack of support on event ticket sales. Alex from ‘A Love Supreme’ closed with a strong message; “Don’t do what Sydney did!”
