Karen O: The Moon Song [New Single]

Visionary film director Spike Jonze (Where The Wild Things Are) has a new film on the way titled, Her.

The film is centered around a man named Theodore (played by Joaquin Phoenix) living in a semi-future Los Angeles. Theodore buys the world’s first artificially intelligent computer, which just so happens to have it’s voice supplied by Scarlett Johansson.

Yes, Theodore falls in love with it/her.

In the movie, Phoenix and the computer/Johansson’s voice, sing a lovely duet together of a song written for the movie by the very beautiful Yeah Yeah Yeahs front-woman Karen O.

Below we have Karen’s recording of that song for your ears:

Her is scheduled to hit the cinemas on December 18 and it will feature a score from the Arcade Fire.

We’ll leave you with the film’s official trailer:

Arctic Monkeys: Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You [New Singe]

The brand new album from the Arctic Monkeys is literally just around the corner. Since June we’ve seen two of it’s singles, ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ and ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’, both leaving a lot of AM fans frothing for more.

Below we have another track from the Sheffield lads and this one will in fact not be seen on the forthcoming record. It’s a solid and rather sexual b-side jam titled ‘Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You.’

How many of you would actually say no to Alex Turner if he said those words to you?

AM is set for release on September 9 thanks to Domino Records. | |

‘War Zone’ is the latest tune to come from Detroit-based indie duo, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.’s forthcoming, second full-length studio record, The Speed of Things.

After the 2011 release of their fantastic debut album, It’s A Corporate World, we grew to really appreciate the subtle, quirky and nostalgic sounds of DEJJ and ‘War Zone’ maintains that expectation with ease.

The Speed of Things is due out on October 8, until then let’s revisit their April 2013 EP release, Patterns: | |

This is exciting news, Sydney indie dance trio Amy, Chris and Tom aka Tokyo Denmark Sweden have just uploaded a brand new original tune called ‘Turning Time,’ onto their SoundCloud page.
