This Sunday, Crown Street in Surry Hills will come alive with the first ever 28 BLACK Crown St Crawl.
You will be able to walk from pub to shop to gallery to café while being entertained by local bands, DJs, poets, burlesque acts, tarot and tea leaf readers. This is a community event with proceeds being donated to The Girls & Boys Brigade, a local charity that has been providing a safe place, activities, life skills and educational support to create a brighter future for local children that need a helping hand, for over 130 years.
The venues taking part in this fantastic charity event will be identifiable by well renowned paper artist Kitiya Palaskas’ playful decorations outside of each. A few of the main music venues will be The Clock Hotel, The Dolphin, The White Horse Hotel, Dome at The Crown Hotel and The Winery.
Musical acts playing throughout the day are DJ Adam Sandlah, Jubilants DJs, DJ James Cripps, Lyall Maloney, Sabriel, The Sculptures, Molly Contogeorge, Hobophonics, DJ Tigerlilly, Belle and The Bone People, and Marcus Corowa. Headlining the event will local Sydney band The Khanz playing at 7:15PM at The Dolphin Hotel.
