Soundbooka: Australia’s First Musician Marketplace

It’s bloody difficult to sort yourself out with gigs. In an age where one can sell a spoof-stained rag that resembles a deity’s face, with ease, you think it’d be quick and simple for employable musicians to be booked for their talents.

Sharing in this sentiment, a couple of Sydney bro Chris Blann has launched Australia’s first online booking platform for musicians and DJs, called Soundbooka. The basis of Soundbooka is to make life easier for event/gig organisers, and more profitable for musos.

The platform allows artists to:
– act as their own booking agent.
– have control over their gigs.
– score greater exposure.
– be paid the agreed amount, on time.

Artists are invited to create a profile and upload any video and/or audio content, as well as a full calendar of availability and bio. There’s also a feedback feature that will host a rating for those who have been booked.

Founder and director, Chris Blann, had this to say:

“Our research has shown that there is nothing connecting employable musicians, DJs and audio professionals with the wide network of people and organisations who need them, such as record labels, wedding planners, live venues, private functions, corporate bookers … Soundbooka exists to meet this demand”.

Budding bands/musicians/DJs,  if you’re keen to get noticed for your talents and make a profit on them, Soundbooka is the way to go.
