Strange Talk: Self-titled [EP Stream]

Melbourne-based indie-dance crew Strange Talk joined forces only in February this year. The guys formed due to a shared interest as to what would result from their combined creative juices. On April 12, only two months since forming, they dropped their debut self-titled EP.

Their sound is jam-packed with shimmering synths, cascading surges of bass and dancefloor-swallowing beats – resulting in one of the most exciting new Aussie acts to hit the scene in a long time. Their flavour can be likened to that of Friendly Fires and Phoenix.

The boys have also released a new video for the track ‘Eskimo Boy’:

They have a bunch of shows across Australia between now and July. You can grab all the dates from their tour page.

For those of you in Sydney, you can catch them tonight at the Gaelic Hotel as part of the Ben Sherman Big British Sound 2011 bash. Tickets are $10. Bargain!

Strange Talk EP is out now via Neon Gold or from the band’s website.
