Memory Tapes: Pretend the Devil Isn’t Real [New Track]

Last year New Jersey-based chill-wave producer Dayve Hawk aka Memory Tapes put out an epic 17-minute spooky-synthed track ‘Walk Me Home’ just in time for the Halloween season. This year he dropped another halloween themed track titled ‘Pretend the Devil Isn’t Real’ which is only three minutes long but will still leave you a little spooked and in the Halloween spirit – so to speak:

Although Hawk has been known to be a recluse and quite hesitant in regards to going on tour due to a fear of airplanes, he did manage to muster up the courage to come to Australia last month as part of the Parklife music festivals. acid stag got to see his set at the Sydney leg and we must say that it ended up being one of our top acts of the day.

Hawk has produced remixes for the likes of Crystal Castles, Tanlines, Yeasayer and Miami Horror and has also released tracks, remixes and EPs under the names Memory Cassette and Weird Tapes.

Memory Tapes released their debut album in September last year titled Seek Magic which can be purchased via iTunes.
