Hip-Hop Yoga for Charity: All of the Tights

words by Kara Bertoncini

Let 2k17 be the year you unleash your inner yogi. Better yet, let 2k17 be the year you donate to charity. Well, why not do two in one?

Hip-hop and yoga lovers this one is for you.

On Tuesday January 24, Fitzroy’s RnB hot spot Laundry Bar will play host to a night of downward dogs and crow pose, to the sweet tunes of your favourite hip-hop artists. Add in the wise words of DJ Khaled and you’re gonna be feelin’ all types of inspired.

Led by local yogi master Drew Wilson and brought to life by Melbourne’s own party-princess MIMI, this will be a night to set your week right.

All of the evening’s profits will go to the Victorian Salvation Army who endeavour every day to support Melbourne’s homeless, elderly, asylum seekers, international students, women and children in violent relationships, and countless others who just need a hand.

Tickets are on sale now (click the poster below) but will sell out fast. I’ve rallied up my besties and got my ticket so you best hustle yours, and I’ll see you on the yoga mat.
