The other day London producer T-Funk sent over his debut album ‘Dorm Room’ for us to check out, and while hip-hop is usually one of my go-to genres when looking for tunes to soundtrack my day, I found this this 10-track collection had a lot of jazz, soul and 80’s funk elements that had me going back for quite a few listens.

“This album is a collection of hip-hop tracks that I’ve made throughout the past 2 years while at university (hence the title Dorm Room). Many of the tracks have classic acapellas laced on them. The samples range from jazz to 80’s funk and soul. I’ve tried to pay homage to classic 90s sounding hip-hop while simultaneously using some more modern sounds and techniques.” – T-Funk
