After the transcendent Blackheart ended up on many ‘Best of 2015’ lists last year (including mine), New Orleans native Dawn Richard (aka D∆WN) has dropped another single from her soon to be released project, RED*emp*tion.
The Machinedrum produced ‘Not Above That’ sees Dawn delve further into the electronic genre with breathy vocals that glide atop ethereal synths. Hypnotic rhythms drive the hook to a rollercoaster of a crescendo and act as a call to arms for the nearest dancefloor.
RED*emp*tion is set to round off the HEART trilogy and will once again usher in a new sonic era for Richard.
