I’ve been looking forward to hearing new music from Sydney songstress BUOY for quite a while now, and today she has delivered a track that has made it well worth the wait.
‘Took Me Up’ draws some easy comparisons to FKA Twigs with its deep warbling synths and delicately placed percussions. There’s also hints of Icelandic Goddess Björk within the manipulated vocals, together making a very impressive intro to BUOY‘s forthcoming debut EP, Immersion.
Unfortunately her previous tracks have been removed form the interwebs, but there is this track from just a few months ago by Aussie producer Spirit Faces that she featured on .
Immersion will be seeing its release toward the end of February through October Records.
