Introducing Melbourne-based producer Nicholas Lam, a young man who’s been making his own blend of lo-fi electronica for around 12 months now, under the name DXHeaven.
He comes to us today with his five-track debut EP Aftertouch, and we have an exclusive premiere of it streaming just below.
Lam’s use of varying rhythms and sounds create an interesting and attractive overall vibe. Slick arrangements of gittery beats, lo-fi cruisey synths and this infectious 80’s pop-style ballad can really draw you in with its hypnotic appeal. Aftertouch is a great debut collection that will easily win over a whole new legion of fans.
You can score a copy of Aftertouch EP right now through the DXHeaven Bandcamp page.
DXHeaven is also holding an official EP Launch at Hugs & Kisses in Melbourne on Thursday, November 20 with some of his good buddies Lanks, Queens Magic and I’lls DJs on support. Click the poster for further details.
