A few weeks ago we announced a new project called the Acid Stag DJs, which is essentially a collective of local DJs and producers that we are teaming up with, and making available for club nights, gigs, festivals or events.
acid stag will be partnering with upcoming DJs and producers from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, with hopes of expanding over time to Adelaide and Perth – as well as adding more members to each city’s roster as we go.
First off the bat for Sydney was ARDIE and LEMOND, who gave us all a fine taste of their party-vibes at the acid stag presents: DEEP IN THE ALLEY event, which went down over the June long weekend.
This week I am very pleased to announce the Brisbane contingent of our new endeavour; FLORIA and WHATSON WATTS.
Brisbane-based producer WHATSON WATTS has a wealth of experience in electronic music, resulting in his own refined blend of fun tropical beats, and danceworthy bass-driven music. Over the last few years, WHATSON WATTS has been a part of a few musical projects (including Pigeon), resulting in a whole swag of remixes, releases and live performances all over Australia. Now WHATSON WATTS is shifting his focus to developing his own style and sound, as he gears up to stake his own claim in the global electronic music scene.
FLORIA is a 21 year old R&B singer/producer from Brisbane, who is demonstrating a distinctive original style, and ability to produce catchy dance floor R&B flavoured tunes. To-date he has released a few original singles to much critical acclaim, picking up attention from domestic and international music websites, as well as achieving numerous plays across national radio airwaves. You may remember FLORIA from being one of FBi Radioʼs Fade Up Feature Artists, as well as their Autumn Resident DJ.
