Roll yourself a fat one and bliss out to the music video for ‘Blackhole’ – the latest single from Chicagoan psychedelic/nu gaze quartet Secret Colours.
The track sees the band revelling in 1960s psychedelia and 1990s Britpop. Meanwhile, the video was conceptualised by vocalist/guitarist Tommy Evans and features doppelgängers, gas masked servants and actress/director Katey Meyer‘s affinity for trippy swirls. Any band that can work a melodica into a track gets our tick of approval.
‘Blackhole’ is for fans of: Tame Impala, Dandy Warhols and Kula Shaker
Secret Colours have been piecing together their second album, Peach, with the production assistance of Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Gomez, Sage Francis, Iron & Wine). Peach is set for a release on May 28.
