After a year in the making, musician/composer/producer Chris Schlarb has completed his latest project, Psychic Temple II.
Schlarb has once again enlisted a multi-genred team of collaborators to help assemble his latest offerring. Among them is Sufjan Stevens, Ray Raposa (Castanets), Ikey Owens (Mars Volta), Devin Hoff (Xiu Xiu), Sarah Negahdari (Silversun Pickups) and John Clement Wood (Black Keys).
Bellow we have the album’s first single ‘Til I Die,’ which was originally written by the legendary Brian Wilson and released on The Beach Boys‘ 1971 Surf’s Up. This version however features Nedelle Torrisi, Raymond Raposa and Sufjan Stevens all sharing the vocal stems. Ikey Owens dominates the Hammond organ while Aaron Roche donates his expertise to the string arrangement:
