My, how Strange Talk have matured. ’Cast Away’ is the new, synth-heavy single from the Melbournites that sports a major M83 vibe. The single comes by way of a very nostalgic, visual accompaniment.

Inspired by cult 1980′s films, frontman Stephen Docker explains that: “movies that were talked about when making the film clip were The Goonies and Stand by Me. The idea was to tell a story that most people growing up in the suburbs could relate to…with a twist!” Director Phillip Sage nailed the brief.

Strange Talk are busy putting the final touches down to their debut album, pencilled-in for an early 2013 release.
